“It was a pleasure to work with Mike Lee at the Stephen Curry Skills Academy. He brought innovated skills work, and combined this with hands-on enthusiasm for what he’s teaching to make every camper better, including myself.”

Luke Meier

Director of Training

A former college player and coach at UW-Eau Claire Luke has been with Thrive3 for close to 10 years. Luke’s ability to connect with each individual he trains gives him the ability to push them to their potential.

“The training methodology at Thrive3 is proven to get results. I learned so much as a player working with Luke Meier and now use it as a framework in the individual workouts I run with the Atlanta Hawks. Our players see the drills, moves and concepts carryover to the game and I know you will too.”

Our Philosophy

Most skill work doesn’t get the results you want. You put in a ton of work, but does it actually translate to the game? Real skill work builds a foundation. A foundation with your handle allows you to split ball screens.  A foundation with footwork that helps score out of triple threat. A foundation with feel that improves your basketball IQ and gives you the ability to make great decisions.  We Create Skills, not drills.

Most people ask us what our process is. And, if you’re looking for a cookie cutter answer you’re not going to find one. We evaluate, give feedback and create custom micro-drills on the fly. Every single training session or camp is customized to meet the individual needs of each player. If a drill is too easy you’ll be challenged. Too difficult? We’ll break down the skill on your level.

“Mike Lee worked with me on many basketball instructional projects. His teaching methods are state-of-the-art, and he gets student-athletes to improve their fundamental skills, while having fun doing it.” – Brian James

“Mike is the one of the best trainers in the country because of his attention t detail. It’s individual one on one attention, even in groups or camps, that cater to where you need improvement most. During my free time I’ll be training with him because he’s elite.” – Malcolm Brogdon

“I’ve been working with Thrive3 since my sophomore year in high school and would not be where I’m at without their training. As my game progressed, so did the training. From working on my shot in high school, to making detailed ball screen reads at the pro level, they’ve been there always helping me get to the next level. I highly recommend working with them.” – Carrington Love

“Mike Lee is committed to developing the player to become the best possible player they can be…All levels of basketball development could use more Mike Lees, which would make all coaches’ jobs easier.” – Dee Brown, NBA Assistant Coach, 12 Year NBA Veteran
